The Mongol Invasions of Japan which took place between 1274 and 1281 are but a shadow of the Xenose landings, which took place in alternate reality #0073. The Korean Peninsula had fallen but days before, and the Mongols of this timeline were forced to yield before the invaders. Their own invasion of the islands was met with punishing attacks from these offworlders, who manipulated the very winds themselves to destroy much of the Mongol naval fleets. The natives of the islands referred to the Xenose as Kami-kaze, or "The Divine Wind", and they were not to let their homes fall without an epic fight. The Samurai were the last line of defence...
