Festivals are modern rituals, in which people perform community. Festivals contain the same ritual ingredients as traditional, ancient, and religious rituals. Sometimes these ritual elements are still very recognisable, sometimes they are more hidden. This work is a simulacrum: a pixel drawing, based on a photograph taken at a festival.
