I dedicated ten years of my life to the wonderful Brazilian martial art called Capoeira. According to old traditions, capoeiristas did not use their real names in everyday communication in order to hide them. Instead, they used nicknames and by the will of fate I got the nickname Aladim. I really liked the "Diamond in the Rough" story and decided to use Aladim as a stage name. P.S. That’s the reason behind Aladim spelling, its Portuguese..
