Crazy Horse (1840 – September 5, 1877)
-A leader of the Lakota people who fought against the settlement of Native American land in the 1850's and 1860's.
-His name at birth was Čháŋ Óhaŋ or "Among the Trees". Later his father, whose name was Crazy Horse, decided to give his son his name when he reached maturity.
-He was involved in the Battle of Little Big Horn, which led to victory of the battle for the Lakota Sioux, Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes.
-Crazy Horse eventually surrendered himself and was supposed to be arrested. He struggled with a guard who stabbed and killed him.
