I have been painting for several years. I have always been interested in the human figure, and from the beginning I spent several years taking photos of children running, playing, and I really enjoyed the results. I found happiness, sincerity, but I also found sadness on the faces, and those expressions completely captivated me. Since then I have been working on a series of oil paintings, trying to reflect and look for all these sincere expressions in children, but inside me too. I believe that art is a reflection of who we are and what we carry inside. In this journey, the experience has greatly enriched my vision as an artist. Now I am more aware of what I do, and of those picturesque faces. Beyond an emotion, there is a state of equilibrium free of social and cultural conditioning. My intention is to create from the painting, a space of interaction where the gazes are observed intently. And I think that transparency, that truth summons and invokes a rediscovery of who we are in the essence of our beings.
