Art and Body

857
Through the medium of photography Ryan Frame wishes to draw attention to how a human body can be seen as a medium of art that challenges the idea of how the body is typically seen. His work challenges the stereotype of considering the body a form of performance art, as no performance is required to transform naked skin into something extraordinary. Location plays an important role in Frame’s work. By contrasting a subject with its environment, a naked body becomes a reflection of its surroundings thereby radiating a sense of emancipation.
